The volunteer is an integral part of our business and will assist Connected Texas in promoting the expansion of broadband in Texas.    Being a volunteer with the company presents many enrichment opportunities such as:

1. First-hand experience in a non-profit technology advocacy organization.
2. Exposure to broadband providers and community leaders in Texas.   
3. Exposure to technology policy and research.
4. First-hand experience with a dynamic organization. 

The following is just a sampling of the types of volunteer duties you would participate in:

• Assist with communication efforts involving community stakeholders including outreach to introduce the program. 
• Identify, track and maintain a working knowledge of proposed and existing state and federal projects undertaken by Connected Texas.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of reporting, documentation, and tracking of various initiatives while maintaining highly confidential and politically sensitive information.
• Assist the research group in tracking broadband technology trends in Texas.
• Assist with coordination and execution of special events.
