The Broadband Landscape in the State of Texas
As part of the Texas State Broadband Initiative grant program (SBI) planning grant, Connected Texas conducted an assessment of the broadband landscape in the state of Texas.
In March 2011, Connected Texas released its initial report, which aimed to spark discussion among multiple broadband stakeholders on key policy goals and strategies to expand and enhance broadband opportunities for all Texans.
In November 2014, Connected Texas released new broadband availability data showing that the gap in availability continues to shrink, making way for more adoption and use of the technology throughout the state.
